This page describes the methods used for managing this website in relation to the processing of the personal data of the users who consult it.
This notice is published as required by Art. 13 of Italian Law no. 196/2003 – Privacy Act for the protection of personal data of users who interact with the company’s web services, which can be accessed electronically starting from the address: http://www.reggiochildrenfoundation.org , the main page of the official website.
The notice pertains only to this present site and not to any other sites the user may consult by means of links.
The notice is also based on Recommendation no. 2/2001 adopted on 17th May 2001 by the European authorities regarding the protection of personal data, in the Working Party instituted by Art. 29 of Directive no. 95/46/CE, to establish certain minimum requirements for the collection of personal data on-line, and in particular the methods, the timeframes, and the nature of the information that the holders of the processing must provide to the users when they connect to the web pages, independently of the purposes of the connection.
THE “HOLDER” OF THE PROCESSING
Following consultation of this site, data related to identified or identifiable persons may be processed.
The “holder” of the processing is Fondazione Reggio Children Centro Loris Malaguzzi in the person of the legal representative pro tempore.
PLACE OF DATA PROCESSING
The processing related to the web services of this site takes place at the company headquarters and is managed only by the technical personnel of the office in charge of the processing, or by any persons in charge of occasional maintenance operations.
No data or information deriving from the web service is communicated or disseminated. The personal data provided by users who send requests for informational materials (newsletters, CDs, catalogues, price lists, replies to queries, and other materials) are utilized only for the purpose of providing the service requested.
TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED
The information systems and the software procedures used for the operation of this website acquire certain personal data in the course of their normal operation, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.
This information is not collected in order to be associated to identified parties but due to its nature could, by means of processing and associations with data held by third parties, allow the users to be identified.
This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the status of the reply given by the server (done, error, etc.) and other parameters concerning the user’s operating system and the information environment.
This data is used for the sole purpose of collecting anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to verify that it is operating correctly, and the data is erased immediately after being processed. The data can be used to ascertain responsibility in the case of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the website; except for this eventuality, the data on web contacts does not persist for more than seven days.
Data provided voluntarily by the user
The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this site entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary for sending a reply, as well as any other personal data included in the message.
Specific summary notices will be progressively indicated or displayed on the pages of the site used for particular services on request.
No personal data concerning users is acquired by the site.
Cookies are not used to transmit information of a personal nature, and no persistent cookies of any type, i.e. user tracking and identification systems, are used.
The use of session cookies (which are not stored persistently on the user’s computer and are deleted as soon as the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the purpose of transmitting session identifiers (random numbers generated by the server) necessary to allow the secure and efficient navigation of the site.
The session cookies used in this website avoid recourse to any other information technology methods that could potentially compromise the privacy of user navigation; they do not permit the acquisition of personal data identifying the specific user.
VOLUNTARY PROVISION OF DATA
Except for that which is specified for the navigation data, the user is free to decide whether or not to provide his or her personal data.
Failure to provide such data may make it impossible to satisfy the user’s request.
The personal data are processed using automated instruments for the amount of time strictly necessary to carry out the purposes for which the data were collected.
Specific security measures are observed to prevent the loss of the data, illegal or incorrect use, and unauthorized access to such data.
RIGHTS OF THE USER
The persons to whom the personal data belong have the right at any time to receive confirmation of the existence of said data and to know its content and origin, to verify the exactness or request integration or updating of said data, or its correction (see Art. 7 of D.Lgs. no. 196/2003 for complete information).
Pursuant to said Art. 7, the user has the right to request that his or her personal data be cancelled or transformed into anonymous form, that data processed in violation of the law be blocked, as well as to oppose the processing of said data in any case for legitimate reasons.
Such requests must be submitted to the Holder of the processing or to the Controller Dr. Juri Torreggiani (see below).
