Ambassadors of Fondazione Reggio Children – Centro Loris Malaguzzi
The Foundation Ambassadors are the main representatives of Fondazione Reggio Children in Italy and in the world. They are appointed by Foundation Board of Directors for their unique personality, on the basis of the closeness, the history and the sharing of values as the importance of the investment in education and childhood as an engine for development and change of communities.
The Ambassadors may carry out their own activities of promotion, development and increase of the necessary network of national and international relations thanks to their relational skills and willingness to donate part of their time to the Foundation to engage their contacts, facilitating donations or creating partnerships with associations, foundations and companies to support the projects of Fondazione Reggio Children.
The Honourable Jay Weatherill
In July 2019 the Honourable Jay Weatherill was appointed Ambassador of Fondazione Reggio Children – Centro Loris Malaguzzi.
Jay Wilson Weatherill (1964) is an Australian politician who was the 45th Premier of South Australia, serving from 21 October 2011 until 19 March 2018. Jay Weatherill represented the House of Assembly seat of Cheltenham as a member of the South Australian Branch of the Australian Labor Party from the 2002 election to December 2018. He is a lawyer with an economics degree, establishing his own law firm in 1995 and practicing until he was elected as the Member for Cheltenham in 2002. Before becoming Premier, he held a range of portfolios including Environment and Conservation, Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation, Minister Assisting the Premier in Cabinet Business and Public Sector Management, Families and Communities, Housing, Ageing, Disability, Urban Development and Planning, Administrative Services, Local Government and Gambling.
