Loris Malaguzzi International Centre

The Loris Malaguzzi International Centre, promoted by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, the Municipality’s Istituzione of Preschools and Infant toddler Centres, Reggio Children and the Reggio Children – Loris Malaguzzi Centre Foundation is a place dedicated to those in Italy and the world who intend to promote quality education. It is a place open to the future, which puts children and their potentials at the centre, and whose intent it is to offer occasions of creativity to children of all ages and families, and new professionally formative opportunities to the international educational community.
The Centre has its premises in the buildings which for more than fifty years housed the “Locatelli” Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese warehouses.

“The Loris Malaguzzi International Centre is dedicated to the Reggio pedagogue who highlighted the strong, inseparable relationship between education, citizenship and participatory democracy as few others in Italy or the world have done… It draws inspiration from the educational experience of this city’s infant-toddler centres and preschools, and expands their potential, the conversations, the desires…”

Carla Rinaldi
President of The Reggio Children – Loris Malaguzzi Centre Foundation
